This Christmas, let us remember

how we have failed to practise what we preach:

how during the Holocaust, while millions of innocent people were brutally murdered,

we — the Church — were silent

how at times, the once persecuted Church becomes the persecuting Church

how so often, we show prejudices towards people from other race or religions,

prejudice, a spirit so foreign to Christ our Lord

how at many times, we ignored those in need as we are too busy with our own life,

or worst still, with our so-called church ministry, Christmas dinners and concerts

This Christmas, let us remember to practise what we preach:

to feed the hungry,

to welcome the strangers,

to speak up for the oppressed,

and to remember His words: “you do it unto Me”
